CWFA Tournament Booth

The fastball team from the University of Calgary will be attending the 2010 CWFA Tournament in Calgary at Shouldice Athletic Park from June 11-13. We would like to invite you to come out and get information about the team. You will have the opportunity to meet head coach Randy Plishka, team doctor/ assistant coach Tanya Dobrzanski, and members of the club. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

Tryouts for the 2010 Season

The Dinos will be holding open tryouts for the team at the end of August. Dates are still to be announced but keep posted for more information. Everyone is welcome to come to tryout. Tryouts will be held on a weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will consist of conditioning and skill evaluations, and Sunday will be game scenarios. Fresh Face to the Dinos Team

Randy Plishka has officially signed on as the new head coach of the Dinos. With a new head coach brings great change to the team, but there is great hopes for the 2010 season. In addition to a new head coach, Tanya Dobrzanski has taken on the role of assistant coach, in addition to her role as team doctor. The ladies would like to welcome Randy and send out a great thanks to Tanya for their previous efforts and the time they are committing to this program.

Ken Griffey Sr. entertains the Dinos

The lady Dino’s were entertained by one of baseballs finest at the 2010 Baseball/Fastball dinner held at the Calgary Red and White Club. This evening raised money for both the University clubs and was recognition of all the supporters and members of the team. Thank you to everyone who participated in this evening and we look forward to next year’s event.
