For the 2007 season, the University of Alberta will again field two teams to play in the Alberta Intercollegiate Women's Fastball Association. This year the league will consist of ten teams from post secondary schools across Alberta as well as one team from University of Regina. Tryout camps will start on Saturday, August 18, 2007 with the first scheduled games for the U of A teams to be held on September 1 and 2 in Edmonton. The season consists of 18 scheduled league games and ends with a playoff tournament scheduled to take place on the Thanksgiving Day weekend October 6, 7, and 8, 2007.

There will be a player registration fee of $150.00 for those players that are successful in making the team. This amount will help cover umpire fees, league fees, equipment and balls. In addition, the players are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs for out of town games and overnight stays. Teams are registered with Softball Alberta for insurance and travel purposes.
